We woke up Wednesday morning and went to open the garage door, and it wouldn’t move at all. After taking a look, I noticed one of the springs at the top had snapped in half. The door was extremely heavy and I couldn’t lift it manually, which meant both of our vehicles were stuck inside the garage. We called Precision Garage Door Service and they were able to offer a same-day appointment between 4–8 PM. That alone was impressive, because we rely on our garage constantly. Jose sent a message when he was on his way, letting us know he was coming from Orinda and that it would take about 80 minutes to reach our home in Discovery Bay. The communication was excellent and gave us a clear idea of when to expect him. When Jose arrived, he immediately made a great impression. He showed up with a smile, was clean cut, professional, and clearly ready to get to work. He quickly inspected the broken spring and also pointed out that the bearings on the torsion bar were worn and rattling. Since he was already replacing the springs, he explained that it would make sense to replace the bearings at the same time so the whole system would operate smoothly. I don’t know a lot about garage doors, but it was very clear Jose knew exactly what he was talking about. The way he explained things was confident, knowledgeable, and easy to understand. What impressed me most was that he had everything needed to fix the door right there in his truck. Once we agreed on the work and pricing, he immediately got started. I’m naturally a curious person, so I watched while he worked, and he took the time to explain what he was doing along the way. He told me he’s been doing this work for about six years and genuinely enjoys it, and you can tell. He replaced the springs, installed the new bearings, properly tensioned the system, and made sure the door was balanced and operating smoothly. He even helped adjust the open and close limits on my garage door opener so the door would rise just a little higher. That extra inch made the difference I needed to comfortably fit my truck in the garage, which put a big smile on my face. From start to finish, the experience was excellent. Same-day service, fair pricing, great communication, and a technician who clearly takes pride in his work. If you ever need garage door service, ask for Jose. You’ll be glad you did.

I had a particularly nasty breakdown of my garage door. A hinge came loose, causing the door to partially jump from it's rail, ripping the metal cables from both wheel retractors. The door could not be opened or closed. I read reviews for several garage door repair providers and went with Precision. They came out the same day, despite it being mid-day when I called. They arrived after 6 PM. After examining the door, they made a couple of suggestions/options on how to proceed. No pressure, just clear and plain estimates to fix, and or replace some or all parts. No pressure. It took about 2 hours, but they fixed, what I thought was a hopeless situation, at a very fair price. Both guys were very knowledgeable, professional, and polite. My garage door got stuck and my landlord got in touch with precision garage doors. My landlord, being who he is, did not like the pricing and left us literally hanging tried to find someone else to fix the problem, because the garage door would still not close and It was almost getting dark, so I spoke with the technician the technician’s name is Antonio he came as scheduled, he was very kind to begin with and very friendly and very professional ver respectful. I asked him how much would it cost to just to close the garage door so it wouldn’t be open overnight so we wouldn’t worry about our belongings inside the garage. Antonio spoke to management and gave us a good price just to help us out, few minutes later Antonio was able to realign the garage door and was able to close it, and of course I was very appreciative of what he did and the consideration he gave us by speaking to management to help us out. I would highly recommend Antonio and precision garage door to anyone. Keep up the good work Antonio and thank you to the manager who was considerate enough to help us out! I had accidentally bumped the mechanism that stops the door if something gets in his path and after an hour of messing with it, I finally decided to call someone. I remembered an advertisement on television for precision garage door service so I called them since they were in my mind. Two hours later their Repair man got to my house and inspected the job and inspected my garage door mechanism because it is about 20 years old. The young man was quick efficient found things that I really did need and it was very pleasant while he worked. The door now operates smoothly, easily, and will probably not need any more service for a very long time. I would recommend their service to anyone looking for repairs on a garage door or an out opener system
