My details are as follows first thing my tech Manny dis a great job of explaining what was going on and I can't say enough good things about him super helpful. The repair he did was $799.90 for replacements of the old main springs. I had him do the work but after he left I google cost and found it to be fairly high. With that said I will be having other work done by him and hopefully those repairs will be a little less cost wise. I didn't call anybody else just Precision and they got here right away. I contacted Precision Garage Door Service of the Bay Area to inspect my garage door opener which was no longer functioning. The technician Bachir came within an hour after I submitted an online request. Due to the age of my opener (Genie, 26+ years) I was told that replacement parts were no longer available and given 2 options to replace my current one. Both were for Liftmasters. The estimates were a bit higher than expected, but I decided to proceed anyway. Installation of the opener and new rail was completed in 2.5-3.0 hours followed by a thorough walk through of the camera, opener, remotes, and control pad. All appears to be fine. If I had to do it over again, I would get a second opinion/estimate, however the installation was professionally done and I'm able to open my garage door again.

Caleb was extremely knowledgeable and professional, showed up on time, diagnosed and fixed the issue in an hour. He was wonderful. My only problem: the pricing for parts is astronomical. Replacing two springs and two bearings cost $940 — that’s almost double what it cost to repair our AC unit. It would be cool if they provided lower cost options, like gently used parts.

Super-fast service, lots of communications, easy to reach and easy to schedule. The technician comes on time and with a truck stuffed with pretty much all the parts your garage door could ever need and parts for every type of garage door. I say that knowing that our garage was apparently custom made, unusually heavy and uses non-standard springs. We had one broken spring, and he had the replacement right there with him. That said, their prices are higher than most and I could have saved a few hundred dollars and received the same quality service and parts had I shopped around but the technician was there, he had the parts and could do the work right then and there. He did a great job and was knowledgeable and professional. He completed the job without issue and quickly. Note that their technicians are also salespeople keen on upselling. I was prepared and willing to replace all 4 springs (for balance and the likelihood that the other springs would soon fail as well) but then he pushed hard on new track wheels (which he eventually convinced me on by pulling out a particularly well-worn old one and showing it to me), pushed a bit on a new spring bar and tried but relented on a new garage door opener. So overall: fast, convenient, expensive, salesy but quality parts and work.

Called Precision Door at 7pm on a Wednesday evening. Said I was having some issues, looked like my hinge was broken and giving the door issues coming down. Dispatcher told me they couldn’t be there until 8am to 12 noon. I said no problem. Was given a picture of the person coming and a phone call. Expert service right there. Person came with 3 options. I went with the cheaper of the three. Door was fixed and went on his way. My four stars, instead of 5 was based on price of service.
